Our home was built in 1890, and apparently no one has cleaned the window sills since construction wrapped. We moved in last Fall, and so I ignored the job until recently. Because our windows have been open lately, I decided I could no longer ignore the job. I decided to tackle all 34 windows with much gusto, last Friday.
I got to thinking that I wasn’t really sure how to effectively tackle the task at hand. I mean, I know how to do a Clorox Wipe drive-by, or a vacuum suction sneak attack, but I don’t know that I’ve ever really scrubbed window sills. I realize that might shock you.
It turns out the whole thing is easy, quick, and very satisfying. And thank the Lord I don’t have to do it for 123 more years.
Two things: Please don’t judge me for how dirty the following pictures are. And, please know that anything in a house this old is only going to look but so clean. I don’t care how hard you scrub.
