It’s time to put our plants in the ground! John is so excited he can hardly stand it, and Georgia and I are pretty pumped, too. Here is what we did:

planting 1

have a helper fill your beds with good soil or compost

planting 2

the tongue action is critical to doing this correctly

planting 3

smooth the soil out

planting 4

add some manure for a scented treat

planting 5

we rigged up this trellis with bamboo poles for the cucumbers to travel on

planting 6

place your sweet seedlings in the dirt

planting 7

the trellis leaves room underneath for other seedlings that like a little shade

planting 8

leave markers so you'll know what is growing

planting 9

plant all of these puppies

planting 10

and a few flowers

planting 11

and do a grow dance every day

Good luck, little veggies.
